I first knew you
Eight years ago.
I thought my heart was
Already bubbling,
When I breathed your air.
The view took it all away.
Your old, mysterious streets,
That always seem so dark,
Even in the daylight,
Made me finish a chapter,
While dreaming of another.
It was a cold, grey
Month of May.
Walking for two days,
While starving for more.
And you laughed at me,
Giving me nothing,
But inspiration and rain.
Seven years passed
Without forgetting you.
My loyalty was taken,
But my mind was with you.
I had to go back,
And so I did.
Secretly, eagerly,
With days to spare.
You welcomed me back
With surprise.
January days of sunshine.
It wasn't enough!
Being faithful was my anchor.
I didn't go alone, and
I wanted to have more of you.
Dragged down by lasyness
And no excitement,
A lot was left to be seen.
Then, I wished to have you
In every single season.
A promise of mine
Is a certainty.
A lot can happen
In just one year,
And I am exactly at the
Same spot as I was
At first.
Free, as the butterflies
Going through my throat.
My loyalty lies in another language,
Dearest, but you're not
Afraid to share it, I hope.
Here I am again,
Like in the first.
May it is, to start a new cicle.
Promisses remain unforgotten.
Next time, I'll come
With the right person.
